Each year we make dozens of donations, large and small to local people and organisations. Most donations to people are made as a result of an approach from Social Workers, Health Professionals, Local Organisations, and the Citizens Advice Bureau. As well as direct donations, we occasionally organise events each year at which local organisations and charities are able to raise money for their good causes.
100% of the fund we raise is used for good causes in the local area. We don’t use any raised funds for admin or any other purpose.
With Scarborough Lions Club now being a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), applications for financial or material grants have to be more formalised than in the past.
Applications must now be submitted on a confidential form. The Club has also produced a Fund Making Policy which sets out the principles and procedures the club will be taking when considering grant applications.
When the application form has been completed, it should either be sent by post to the Scarborough Lions Club Secretary at the address on the form or sent by email to the address shown on the form:
